Nirmaljhar Temple::- The Nirmaljhar Temple Is A Perennial Stream In the Ganjam District under Khallikote Block In The State Of Odisha, India. It Is Located Beside the Temple Of Lord Vishnu. The Nirmaljhar Flows From The Badaghati Mountains In Eastern Ghats. Khallikote Princess Smt. Sugyani Devi Has Currently Formed A Committee to Promote Nirmaljhar as a tourist Site. 

Nirmaljhar Derives Its Name From Two Words Nirmal Meaning Pure And Jhara Meaning Stream. The sacred Spring Of Nirmaljhar Originates From the Foothills Of Marua hill, A Part Of The Badaghati Mountains Of the Eastern Ghats. The Temple was Constructed In 1676 AD By Raja Aparajita Sri Balukeswar Maradaraj Who Was The Most Popular And Strong Rules Of The Mardaraj Dynasty Of Khaliikote. Nilkantheswar Is The Main Deity Of the Temple. Other Gods Are Bimala, Radhakrishna, Jagannath And Surya, The Sun God.

The Beautifully Carved Works In Snana Mandap, Magara mandap And Dola Mandap Are Quite Attractive. The Nilkantheswar Temple Has Beautiful Sculptures Of Parvati Kartikeya, Ganesh On Its Wall. Goddess Vimala Is The Presiding Deity Of Nirmaljhar. One Can Marvel At The High-Quality Workmanship Done On The Walls Of The Temple Of Lord Vishnu Whereas The Other Temples Bear The Sculptures And Carvings Which depict The Tales From The Mahabharat. 

The Main Attraction Of This Place Is Two Kundas (Swimming Pools) With Pure And Cold Water. People Are Coming Here To Take A Dip Bath In It. People Generally Visit This Place In Summer. Some Other Small Temples Are Also There Surrounding This Pool. You Can Also Trace Beautiful Pieces Dating Back To The British Era. The Terrace Of This Temple Gives You A Panoramic View Of The Temple And The Village. Two Kilometer From Nirmaljhar Is Khallikote King's Palace, Which Is Yet Another Sight To Behold. You Can Also Visit Jhadeswar Temple (Shiva Temple) About 4 Km From Nirmaljhar. 



How To Go ::- Nirmaljhar Has Both Road And Rail Links. On The Northern Side, It Is 60 Km From Berhampur And On The Southern Side It Is About 120 Km From The State Capital Bhubaneswar. Khallikote Station Is The Nearest Railway Station And Is 9 Km Away From Nirmaljhar.
